Postdoctoral Fellowships in Bioinformatics, Aging/Molecular Neurosciences, and Sex Biology
The Dubal Laboratory of Neuroscience and Aging at UCSF seeks candidates for a collaborative and rigorous group of postdoctoral fellows to unravel codes of neural resilience against aging and diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other dementias – using synergistic molecular, genomic, epidemiologic, and bioinformatic approaches – through the study of aging mechanisms and of sex biology.
The Bioinformatics fellow will spearhead statistical pipelines of discovery and analyses for data derived from CRISPR genomic modulation, RNA sequencing, behavior modeling, and human epidemiology. The fellow will develop novel statistical methodology.
The Aging and Molecular Neuroscience fellows will spearhead discoveries of mechanisms underlying neural resilience to aging and disease at the cellular, synaptic, network, and cognitive levels combining transgenic mouse models with molecular and “omic” approaches including in human data. Dedicated, enthusiastic, and tenacious teamwork required.
Experience preferred. Salary and selection process is highly competitive.
