Female Initiative for Neuroscience Discovery

Our Mission

FIND aims to transform women’s brain health through scientific discovery and innovation.

We seek to uncover the fundamental biology of the female brain, integrate basic and clinical research, and accelerate the development of new diagnostics, treatments, and prevention strategies for women across the lifespan.

Female mechanistic biology Female-specific clinical studies Female-specific therapeutics

Our Focus

  • Discovery: Reveal fundamental mechanisms of female brain biology, health, aging, and disease.
  • Translation: Advance discoveries into diagnostics, therapeutics, and prevention strategies.
  • Community: Build collaborations, support emerging scientists, and accelerate progress in women’s brain health.

FIND Symposium 2026

May 21, 2026 | UCSF Mission Bay

Organized and hosted by Dr. Dena Dubal, the FIND Symposium brought together leaders and researchers to advance discoveries in women’s brain health. The program featured scientific presentations, interdisciplinary discussions moderated by leaders from BARI, BCHSI, and the Fein MAC, and a trainee poster session highlighting emerging research.
